Remembrance Service

Held the first Sunday after Remembrance Day. This Service of Remembrance being significant being held during this Centenary of ANZAC period 2014-2018 with our NZ WWII Veterans. Our guest speaker was James Brown State President RSL NSW (and daughter Alice) and Submariner Davis Williams, Indigenous Veterans Representative. Also NZ WWII (Egypt/Italy) Veteran 279154 Captured. (Rtd.) Bruce Harris and NZ WWII (Bougainville/Guadalcanal/Korea) Veteran 439873 Ken Frank.

We celebrated our last service for the year in Fairy Meadow with the Baptism of D’arcy Clout and her wonderful whanau. Also, thank you everyone for supporting this service and especially to Ernie, Rose, Abe, Moanaroa and the team that surpasses the hospitality level every time.

100th Anniversary of the Battle of Passchendaele

We were privileged to have our New Zealand WWII Veterans join us for the 100th Anniversary of the Battle of Passchendaele. The Battle that WWII Veteran Rtd. Capt. Papa Bruce Harris’s father Arthur Leslie Harris was seriously wounded.

Farewell our Faithful Servant “Aunty Hine”

17th July 1930 – 23rd September 2017

Firstly, we would like to acknowledge Aunty Hine Hiku who passed away on Saturday the 23rd September in Pukekohe, New Zealand. Archdeacon shared his heartfelt memories of Aunty Hine at our service last Sunday, we know what a faithful servant she was to the Lord and especially to her Priest and Church. We thank God for Aunty Hine, her many gifts and the time she spent with us, and especially her support of our Kahui Wahine.
