TE ARIKINUI KUINI NGA WAI HONO I TE PO POOTATAU TE WHEROWHERO VII

A moment of profound significance Archbishop Donald Tamihere officiated a heartfelt and sacred blessing ceremony for the new Maori Queen, Te Arikinui Kuini Nga Wai Hono I Te Po Pootatau Te Wherowhero VII following the passing of her father, Kiingi Tuheitia.

Congratulations to Uncle Dave, on receiving an OAM in the Australia Day Honours list. David Williams, Bundjalung, Marine Submariner (Retired) , Royal Australian Navy Chief Petty Officer (Retired), Royal Australian Navy Vietnam War Veteran. Recognised for his service to veterans and the community.

We welcomed Matua Rawiri Toko and his class to Karakia. Te Reo classes protect and promote our language. contributing to a more inclusive, respectful. and sustainable future for all people.

We extend our deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to the whanau, iwi and all those who mourn the passing of Kiingi Tuheitia Pootatau Te Wherowhero VII. Kiingi Tuheitia was a beloved and revered figure, a steadfast protector of Maori culture and identity, and a champion of the rights and aspirations of his people. His legacy of service, unity, and commitment to the betterment of Maori communities will continue to inspire future generations.

Although they are no longer with us, their spirit will forever live on in our memories we hold, in the stories we share, and in the love that continues to bind us together in Faith.
